Grief asks us to confront the reality that everything we love we will lose. It’s a disorienting and lonely experience. One that leaves us questioning how to move through life as we witness others moving on with theirs, as if nothing has happened. We are not meant to navigate grief alone, and intend for this space to be one where you can feel seen, heard, and safe with others so that you can process the pain surrounding the recent death of your loved one. If you are seeking connection as you navigate grief, we invite you to join us.
MEET THE FACILITATOR - CHRIS DATILESHi! I’m Chris Datiles, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and grief therapist. Over the past 10 years I’ve facilitated healing spaces for grief including general grief groups, community spaces in response to acts of violence against the LGBTQ community and Black community such as the Pulse Nightclub Shooting and murder of George Floyd, grief related to family conflict and estrangement due to coming out, and grieving the death of a loved one.
I see grief as a portal; one that makes a person question their sense of time, memory, connection, and self. In offering a space to be with your grief, I hope to offer you more clarity, compassion, and connection with yourself.
