Healing for those who take on too much.

Hi! I’m Chris Datiles, a queer Filipino therapist (LPCC #13266) based in Los Angeles.

I understand the sorrow, anxiety, and internal conflict that comes with loss, trauma, transitions, and living in a world that leaves you feeling overwhelmed and like you’re never enough.

I’m here to guide you to develop the insight and practices that anchor you in a sense of regulation, safety, and self-trust. All so that you can change unhelpful patterns, stay rooted in your values, and experience the life you envision yourself.

my clients are: organizers. educators. artists. writers.

healthcare workers. young widowers and divorcees.

queer and trans. first and second gen immigrants.

They care deeply about breaking cycles and uplifting marginalized voices. They are learning how to balance caring for themselves while caring for others. They have witnessed how grief changes the mind, body, and spirit. They have sought help before, and want therapy that goes beneath the surface and leads to long-lasting actionable change.

Therapy with me means welcoming all the different parts of you.

I believe therapy can be most helpful when your identities, values, and culture are understood in the context of your lived experiences and the communities you are part of. The ways in which you’ve been socialized in this world inform what pathways can lead to healing and relief. Together, we’ll gain clarity about who you are and how you navigate this world, so that we can develop goals and implement practices that are tailored to you.

I support clients with:

  • Healing from traumatic loss (suicide, terminal illness)

  • Exploring gender identity and sexual orientation

  • Perfectionism, people-pleasing, and overworking

  • Integrating cultural values with emotional regulation

I specialize in:

  • Grief and Loss

  • LGBTQ+ Issues & Relationships

  • Racial Trauma and Stress

  • Filipino and Asian American Mental Health

Slow down your worries.
Release the pain you carry.
Be free and stay true to yourself.
