Meet the Facilitator:
Chris Datiles

Hi! I’m Chris Datiles, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and IFS therapist (Level 1 trained). Over the past 10 years I’ve facilitated healing spaces for self-compassion including coming out groups, groups for children of immigrants feeling the weight of parental pressure, and identity exploration.

I believe when we take the time to slow down and pay attention to the parts of ourselves that are asking for attention, we create more opportunities to gain clarity, stay curious, and generate compassion. In offering a space to be with all of who you are, I hope to offer you more connection with yourself, your community, and your creativity.

FAQs

  • There will be a max of 12 participants and this will be conducted over Zoom. You can expect the healing space to have an agenda that includes an IFS meditation or reflection activity, guided discussion, psychoeducation and practices related to , and a closing activity. Due to confidentiality, this will not be recorded.

  • Group therapy offers a space for you to participate and show up with the same cohort over a period of time such as 6 weeks or 3 months. These monthly healing spaces are an opportunity to focus on a topic or issue you have been meaning to explore, but may not have the time or resources to dedicate towards on a weekly basis over a long period of time.

  • Of course! IFS Therapy is built on the foundation that we all have parts of our personality that work together as a team to help us manage life, feel safe, and protect us from harm. Sometimes this leads us to behave in ways that we’re self-critical about. This group is meant to help you understand where those behaviors are coming from and learn how offer yourself some grace and self-compassion.
