Meet Chris

Hi! I’m Chris Datiles (he/him), a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Founder of Slow Down Therapy. As a queer Filipino therapist, my own experiences with grief and loss due to suicide, cancer, and intergenerational trauma brought me to this work.

I care deeply about helping individuals and couples release the burdens they carry so that they can make decisions, set boundaries, and engage with their relationships and creativity in a way that is aligned with their needs, values, and the life that they envision for themselves.

Therapy with me is a space for you to reconnect with yourself and build a relationship with your emotions so that they no longer overtake and overwhelm you. It’s a space to navigate what change means for you, and how you can approach it mindfully and intentionally. It’s a space to move from awareness to long lasting change and healing.
